Young Black Bear in Joelton, Tennessee

Watchable Wildlife viewing opportunities abound. Whitetail Deer, Wild Turkeys, Coyotes, Foxes, Raccoons and even an occasional Black Bear are spotted utilizing the established trails & wildlife viewing blinds. Uncommon field species such as Henslow’ Sparrow, Meadowlark, and Dickcissel, and raptors such as Northern Harriers, Red Tailed Hawks, Red Shouldered Hawk and Bald Eagles are often observed in the woods and open fields by those with an interest in birding. Migratory waterfowl watching picks up in late winter with numerous flight displays taking place around Sycamore Creek from dusk and dawn.
